(USED) The long standing workhorse of the Bourgeois lineup, this rosewood Custom D (usually "Vintage D") is a great place to leave the big factory brands behind and enjoy something more refined, more balanced, more satisfying. Even from across the room, one can tell that this isn't just an imitation 'Bone.
Adirondack spruce top, Indian rosewood back and sides, mahogany neck with fast mod-V profile. The Adi here has ample silking and a hint of bearclaw, it's actually pretty radiant looking with a lot of character. Some upgraded appointments here, it is fully bound in ivoroid and has the "DB Snowflake" inlay pattern on the ebony fingerboard. Small herringbone top trim, zipper backstrip and diamond volute complete the look.
Nut is 1 3/4", string spacing at the saddle 2.2". The nut, saddle and bridge pins are all bone. Waverly tuners.
Condition is very good with light play wear. The frets show just a bit of wear under the unwound strings, there are a few dings in the top on the bass side of the sound hole (only seen when turned against the light) and there are some very faint scratches on the back, near the treble side waist. A couple very small scratches in the neck, hard to find if you're not hunting for them. An LR Baggs Anthem pickup and a strap button are professionally installed, action is smooth and low. Includes original hard case.
