2010 Ken Franklin Concert Model, Cedar, Indian Rosewood, Long Scale - USED - SOLD

SOLD

ON CONSIGNMENT, NO TRADES!

(USED) Here's another excellent fingerstyle guitar from California luthier Ken Franklin. This Concert model has a lower bout measuring just about 15 1/4" and a body depth of 4" at the tail block, so it has a lot of the comfort of an OM, but more of the lushness and bass response of a bigger guitar. The sound and craftsmanship are of the highest caliber.

This one has a Cedar top and Indian rosewood back and sides. The top has a traditional X-brace pattern, while the back is a combination ladder/double X-brace. Wood binding, radial rosette and bound sound hole. The mahogany neck has a modern, shallow-ish C shape, and the tuners are our favorite for fingerstyle, the Gotoh mini 510. The nut measures just under 1 13/16" and the string spacing at the saddle is 2 1/4". The saddle is nice and tall, with great break angle and strong string height above the sound board. Long 25.4" scale length. Ebony fingerboard with no inlay.

There is minor fret wear under the plain strings, and a few lacquer chips on the peghead.  There is a repaired ding on the bass side of the lower bout, not far from the binding (see picture.)

Includes original embroidered Ameritage case.
