2010 Collings OM2HG Deep Body, German Spruce, Indian Rosewood, Short Scale - USED

(USED) If you've been looking for an OM with a little something extra, you could only do worse than this time capsule condition OM2HG from Collings.  This one is fifteen years old and looks like it just left the factory!  It has a clean and creamy German spruce top, Indian rosewood back/sides and a mahogany neck with the standard modified V profile. 

Deep body OMs are still a mystery to many.  It definitely doesn't turn an OM into a dreadnought, but it does vibrate at a slightly lower resonant frequency and amplifies the overall volume, including the low end.  It's a delicate dance making one of these without losing what's great about an OM, but Collings does it as well as anyone!

This one is short scale, 24 7/8" with a 1 3/4" nut and 2 3/16" string spacing at the saddle.  Standard style 2 appointments include herringbone top trim, three ring rosette, zipper backstrip and ivoroid body binding.  The tuners are nickel Waverly.  Nice wavy Brazilian rosewood headcap, no longer an option.

Condition here simply could not be better, no issues whatsoever to report.
