2009 Kevin Kopp Trail Boss, Adirondack Spruce, Mahogany, Cutaway, Sunburst - USED - SOLD

(SOLD)

(USED) A few bumps and bruises, but still the boss!  This excellent guitar just arrived at our shop, and of course it is Kevin Kopp's modern interpretation of the super jumbo (17" lower bout) shape.  This example is Adirondack spruce on top, with Kevin's world-famous hand-rubbed sunburst.  Mahogany back and sides.  The guitar is light for its size, not a tank like many modern 200-styles.

The nut measures ever-so-slightly over 1 3/4", and the spacing at the bone saddle is 2 1/4".  This is a long-scale guitar, but still comfortable to hold thanks to the 12-fret configuration.  Cutaway means full access to the upper frets.  The neck is a fast shallow "C" shape, somewhat modern in profile.  The tuners are Waverly with ivoroid buttons.  The neck angle, saddle height and action are all great.  K&K Pure Mini pickup installed.

Though the guitar is structurally perfect, there are some cosmetic imperfections (who doesn't like a little character??)  There is a good sized pick scratch at the waist below the pick guard.  It has been touched up for color, but can still be seen when turned to the light (see last photo in the listing.)  There is some light finish hazing on the lower bout where an arm would rest, and some fine scratches on the back of the guitar.  There is a good sized ding on the front of the peghead, and a good sized chip on the back (both pictured.)  The neck has a few faint scratches, but nothing that can be easily perceived while playing.

Includes original hard case.

This guitar is favored by pros like Darrell Scott and Leo Kottke for its huge sound and easy playability.  We think you'll love it, too!
