(USED) A wonderful little piece of Collings history from the first year of uke production, this concert prototype is the 21st ever to be completed by the team in Austin. Like everything Bill Collings did, he brought an extraordinary attention to detail to his ukuleles, and indeed we can't find a single flaw with this one, even 14 years later. On the other hand, at under 15 ounces, we're a little concerned that it might float away!
Mahogany top, back, sides and neck with lovely full-body sunburst. The tuners look like old fashioned friction pegs, but they are actually smooth-turning geared Peghead machines. The fingerboard and bridge are rosewood. 1 3/8" bone nut.
The sound is extremely lively! We can't imagine wanting anything more in a uke. Includes original hardshell case, also in like-new condition.
Collings ukuleles are no longer in production, sadly. Once this little beauty is gone, we may not see another like it.
