2008 Gibson "Fuller's Vintage Guitar" 1939 J-35 Reissue, Adirondack Spruce, Mahogany - USED

ON CONSIGNMENT, NO TRADE OFFERS PLEASE!

(USED) An early reissue of the venerable J-35, Gibson's Jumbo shape that evolved into the J-45 to take its place as one of the most recognizable acoustic guitars in the world.  Based on example from 1939, this one is a two tone bar model, with scalloped bracing, Adirondack spruce top and mahogany back/sides/neck.  It has a rosewood fingerboard, rosewood bridge with cut-through saddle, and that unmistakeable Gibson tobacco sunburst finish.

The mahogany neck on this one has some girth to it, it is a pretty full vintage C with 1 3/4" nut and 2 3/16" string spacing at the saddle.  Short scale is approx 24 3/4".

Condition is great for its age, with some dulling of the finish in certain spots, particularly where the picking arm rests.  There is a 2" finish crack on the lower bout near the tail block, does not go through the wood.  The frets are in great shape with minimal wear under the unwound strings.  There is a K&K pickup and a strap button installed.  It has medium action and likes to be strummed hard!  Includes hard case.
