(USED) Ready for possibly the greatest Collings bluegrass dreadnought experience of your life? Well it's waiting for you in this wonderful 2008 CW, built with the finest possible materials: creamy, tight-grained Adirondack spruce, quartersawn Brazilian rosewood, and the meticulous attention to detail that we expect in a Collings. Whoever spec'd this guitar originally definitely had the attention of Bruce and Bill, because obviously they picked their very best stuff.
Being a CW model, this has a slightly larger sound hole, in the old Clarence White / Tony Rice tradition. We hear this as focusing the bass on a lot of guitars, but the bass on this one is lively and rich, not wanting for anything. This model also has Adirondack braces by default, along with a 1 23/32" nut width and 2 1/4" string spacing at the cut-through saddle. Cosmetic appointments include ivoroid body and neck binding, ebony fingerboard with no inlays, herringbone top trim and a zipper back strip.
Condition here is pristine with no discernible fret wear. No scratches, dings, no problems at all. It has been well cared for and is among the finest that we've heard, an excellent example of everything we love about Collings. Includes original hard case, call if you'd like to discuss a flight case upgrade!
