2007 Collings OM1A Short Scale, Adirondack Spruce, Mahogany - USED

ON CONSIGNMENT, NO TRADE OFFERS PLEASE!

(USED) Now don't get us wrong, incredible guitars are still pouring out of the Collings factory every day... but there's something about a played-in example (especially one with Bill's signature on the label) that just feels "right" to us.  When one of these guitars comes back to us on consignment, it's a welcome reminder of how much one man changed the game, not to mention helped us to build a successful business and make beautiful music.  With that sentiment in mind, let us present this awesome OM1A from 2007, perfectly preserved and ready to serve!

The Adirondack top on this one... SHEESH!  Where does Collings find this stuff??? (Just kidding, we know where they found it!)  It's just a perfect looking top, tight-grained but with tons of silking, the light loves this piece of spruce.  The mahogany may look boring by comparison, but it's doing exactly what it's supposed to do here, namely creating a clean and dry fundamental, its tonal signature.

All appointments are standard "Style 1" but this one was customized with a pyramid bridge and short 24 7/8" scale length, which lowers the string tension a bit and warms up the voice.  It has a 1 3/4" nut, 2 3/16" string spacing at the saddle.  Ebony fingerboard, bridge and pins.  The neck is Collings' standard mod-V and this one measures .835" at the first fret and .899" at the ninth.  Guitar weight is 4lbs and the condition is EXCELLENT with no cosmetic or structural issues.  Comes in original hard case.

This guitar is doing everything it was meant to do and doing it exceptionally well!  Won't last long.
