(USED) From the early days of Collings mandolins, we present this 2007 MF, used but not abused! A genre-defying f-style mando with Adirondack spruce top, lightly flamed maple back/sides, and a chime-y, balanced voice. Collings mandolins are known for their evenness of response up and down the fingerboard, it is as strong in the bass as it is in the mids as it is in the trebles. Many call the sound "piano like" which makes it a go-to for multiple styles of music.
This one is in very good condition with just a few bumps and bruises, no deep dings or scratches, no cracks. The finish on the neck has shined up somewhat from 15 years of use, and there is moderate fret wear and a bit of tarnish on the saddle. Some markings from clip-on tuners on the back of the peghead. It's good to go, though! You will play it without fear.
Standard MF features include sunburst finish, ivoroid top binding, ebony fingerboard with dot inlays, ebony saddle, ebony peghead. It has the standard 1 1/8" nut width and includes the original Collings (TKL) hard case.
