(USED) A shop favorite, this 2006 Collings SJ is all played in and ready to go!  One of the coolest "stage" guitars in the Collings catalog, we associate these curvy boxes with artists like The Everly Brothers and Emmylou Harris.  To be honest, though, the design of the SJ makes it an ultra-versatile guitar.  The 16" lower bout and deep body give it low end presence and plenty of volume, while the tight waist gives it projection and balance.  In many ways, it combines the best attributes of dreadnoughts and OMs, all while looking big and bold!

This is the "classic" wood combo, as far as we are concerned.  Sitka spruce is a great starting point for warmth, and pairs very nicely with the clarity and punch of maple.  This one is full 25 1/2" scale, so volume and projection will not be a problem.   1 11/16" nut width with 2 3/16" saddle spacing (nice tall saddle on this one) and Collings' "C" profile on a maple neck.  Fully bound in ivoroid, with classy "haircut" headstock and Collings' distinctive sting ray inlays on the ebony fingerboard.  Gold Schaller tunings machines. 

Condition is excellent for its age, with a few very light scratches near the sound hole and a couple shallow dings on the top.  Strap pin and K&K Pure Mini pickup, both correctly installed.  Includes original hard case.
