2003 Gibson J-150 Super Jumbo, Sitka Spruce, Maple, K&K Pickup - USED

Ha!  Just arrived on consignment, a super jumbo, 17" guitar that is vying for the "King of the Flat Tops" moniker.  This one has a lot to recommend it, it's a consummate strummer (as implied by the well-worn joke above) and it seems just a tiny bit more uptown than the jumbos that we hear country blues picked on... but when it's your guitar, you can play any darn thing you want on it!  We're just here for guidance and comic relief.  

Sitka spruce top, flamed maple back and sides, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard and mustache bridge.  Thankfully not a total tank, weighing in at 4lbs 8oz.  1 23/32" nut width, 2 1/8" string spacing at the saddle, long scale.  Tuners are gold Klusons with cream plastic buttons.  

Condition is very good.  It has a bit of fret wear under the unwound strings, not ready for a level or recrown.  There is some wear on the pick guard engraving.  Long finish checks in the top, pictured.  An under saddle pickup has been removed in favor of a K&K Pure Mini, and the Tusque saddle has been replaced with compensated bone.  Includes original hard case in very good condition.
