ON CONSIGNMENT, NO TRADE OFFERS PLEASE!
(USED) We are pleased to present this lovely D1 as part of a small collection of well cared for Collings guitars that just arrived on consignment. For anyone coming to the Collings brand for the first time, even the D1, their most basic offering, can be a complete revelation. They are loud, clear, and came from the mind of the late great Bill Collings, one of the best to ever do it. He ushered in an era of care and consistency in guitar building that became a standard for every other brand in the industry to aspire to.
But for a few pick swipes on the guard and the golden color of the top, nobody would blame you for thinking that this guitar came out of the factory yesterday, it's just that clean. It does have a new set of frets, and these show hardly any wear at all, maybe the faintest witness marks under the B string. Sitka spruce top, mahogany back, sides and neck. Standard long 25 1/2" scale, 1 11/16" nut width, 2 3/16" string spacing at the saddle. 1-style appointments include tortoise body binding, b/w/b top purfling and dot inlays on the fingerboard. Ebony fingerboard, bridge and pins. Waverly open back tuners. Includes original case.
The perfect opportunity to pick up a well-loved Collings and help it start its second act!
