2002 Collings CJ SB, Jumbo/Slope D, Sitka Spruce, Indian Rosewood - USED

ON CONSIGNMENT, NO TRADE OFFERS PLEASE!

(USED) A classic Collings Jumbo from the days when Bill & Co were really getting into the groove and the world was taking notice.  The CJ was Bill's interpretation of the Gibson Advanced Jumbo, the somewhat rowdier cousin of the J-45.  These long scale, rosewood jumbos are sometimes referred to as Bone Crushers, since they have the volume and tone to compete with Martin's biggest offerings.  More of an innovator than an imitator, Collings brings their usual power and clarity to the design, plus a sunburst that the Bozeman boys could only dream of!

Sitka spruce top with expert sunburst, Indian rosewood back and sides, mahogany neck with Collings' C profile.  Rare 1 23/32" nut width, 2 3/16" string spacing at the saddle, long 25 1/2" scale length.  Fully bound in ivoroid, ebony fingerboard with dot inlays, nickel Waverly tuners.  Handsome marquetry back strip.  K&K pickup installed.

Condition is great with some swipe marks on and around the pick guard, no dings or structural issues, very minimal fret wear.  Would cost over $8K to build today!  Includes hard case.
