2000s Santa Cruz H 12-Fret, Adirondack Spruce, Indian Rosewood - USED

ON CONSIGNMENT, NO TRADE OFFERS PLEASE!

(USED) The challenge with L-00 models is getting them not to sound "boxy" or compressed, and fortunately for everyone, Santa Cruz never shies away from a challenge.  This well-loved H model is anything but boxy, it has a nice shimmer and a depth of tone that belies its size.  The 12-fret neck joint certainly doesn't hurt, but for SCCG warmth is almost always on the menu.

Adirondack spruce top and braces, Indian rosewood back and sides.  Mahogany neck with 1 11/16" nut and 2 3/16" string spacing at the saddle.  The neck measures .86" deep at the first fret, .945" at the ninth.  The scale length is 24 3/4".

The appointments really take this one out of "blues box" territory: herringbone top trim, fully bound in ivoroid, snowflakes on the ebony fingerboard, absolutely LOVELY traditional torch inlay on a Brazilian peghead overlay.  It is, in a word, classy.

Condition is excellent with next to no fret wear, no dings or scratches and certainly no structural issues.  Great action and plenty of saddle to play with.  If we get out our super-specs we notice that there is a bit of finish shrink-back along the center of the back (only seen when turned to the light) and some vague fading of the finish just in front of the bridge (bridge does not appear to have ever been reglued).  Includes hard case.
