1998 Stiver Model F, Adirondack Spruce, Maple - USED

ON CONSIGNMENT, NO TRADE OFFERS PLEASE!

(USED) Rare as hens teeth these days, a Stiver mandolin is always cause for celebration at Acoustic Music Works!  For our money, nobody gets closer to the earthy, gutsy sound of the old Loar-era Gibsons the way Lou Stiver did.  Lou is now retired, but was building world-class mandolins for nearly half a century, one at a time.

This 1998 model has just enough cosmetic wear that you won't worry about it, but hasn't been abused or misused in its almost 30 year run.  It has an Adirondack spruce top, flame maple back and sides and a hand-rubbed tobacco sunburst.  Fully fretted radius'd ebony fingerboard with large pearl dot inlays.  Ivoroid binding body/neck/peghead.  1 1/8" bone nut.  Fern peghead flourish.  Tortoise pick guard by Stiver.

Condition is excellent with a few light dings and scratches here and there.  The James tail piece displays a good amount of tarnish.  Includes hard case.
