1997 Bourgeois OMSC, European Spruce, Brazilian Rosewood, Cutaway - USED - SOLD

SOLD

ON CONSIGNMENT, NO TRADE OFFERS PLEASE!

(USED) This is a treat!  An absolutely lovely Bourgeois OMSC (his interpretation of the 12-fret 000) that is just checking every single box...  this guitar has been around a bit (use your Google machine to see it, in a former life, on Dream Guitars' website... AP says "One of the best fingerstyle guitars I've ever played!") and we are very happy to have it here on consignment from one of our longtime customers.  Completely opened up, impeccably cared for, and in pretty wonderful condition for its age... if you've been on the hunt for a next-level 12-fretter, read on!

We've already hinted at the quality of the sound, but let's shift gears to the materials: tight, even-grained European spruce, aged to a nice golden color.  Brazilian rosewood that runs the gamut on figure, with pin-straight grain on the sides, beautiful spiderwebbing and sapwood on the back.  These are top-notch tone woods, no question.

The quality continues in appointments.  41-style abalone top border and rosette, fully ivoroid bound, consistent black ebony fingerboard with no inlay, engraved Waverly tuners with ivoroid buttons, marquetry back strip.  Pretty much perfect, no?  This guitar is beautiful without getting all "extra" about it.

Specs: Long 25 1/2" scale, with 1 3/4" nut and generous 2 3/8" string spacing at the saddle.  Comfortable modified "V" neck profile, mahogany neck with slotted peghead.  Ebony belly bridge, bone pins, nut and saddle.

The condition is excellent, with only the faintest fret wear and a few very light cursory dings and pick swipes here and there.  There was a strap button on the guitar at one time, but it has been removed and the hole is plugged with an abalone dot (cool choice!)  There is some vague finish clouding on the back in the area near the heel, shown in the photos (looks like mild light reflections.)  K&K pickup installed and original hard case is included.

Even though this guitar screams "fingerstyle" it has a fantastic strummed voice, making it a seriously versatile instrument!  Would be well into five figures to order today!
