(USED) It may seem a little confusing, but while a "1" or a "2" in the name of a Collings guitar usually indicates the back and side woods that we can expect, it is really a designation for a set of appointments. The usual rosewood appointments can be applied to a mahogany guitar, and that's the case here... thus, the rare D2H without a hint of rosewood to be found!
Nope, this is the well known and well known sound of the original D1A, just with D2HA looks. Adirondack spruce top, mahogany back/sides/neck. Standard mod V neck shape, measures .876" at the first fret and .952" at the ninth, 1 3/4" nut and 2 3/16" string spacing at the saddle. Style 2 appointments include herringbone top trim, 3-ring rosette, diamond/square inlays on an ebony fingerboard and ivoroid body binding. No zipper back strip (guess they had to draw the line somewhere?)
Condition is very good, with almost no fret wear, a few cursory markings on the headstock and just a bit of light discoloration on the treble side of the top. Includes original hard case in good condition.
