ON CONSIGNMENT, NO TRADE OFFERS PLEASE!
(USED) Just in on consignment, a steel-bodied resonator with some serious vintage mojo! What else would we expect from an instrument that is fast approaching its 100th birthday? This Regal "The Leader" from 1932 has an engraved steel body with some lovely stitch engraving and fiddle edge as the top and back transition to the sides. It has 14-frets clear of the body, a bound rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlays and a single spider-style cone.
The scale length is short, just under 25" and the nut width is 1 3/4". The neck is a vintage V that measures .985" at the first fret and 1.219" at the ninth.
There is a fair amount of patina and tarnish all over instrument and some finish wear on the back of the neck. The action is medium, more on the slide side, but is very comfortable to chord in the first and second positions. Frets are in excellent shape. The original tuners have been replaced with Klusons. Guitar weighs 8 1/2 lbs. Includes soft case.
AMW Price: $2,495 (On consignment, NO TRADES!)
