(USED) This 1930s National Duolian comes to us on consignment after a careful refurbishing at the National shop. It has a steel body with copper finish, single cone and biscuit bridge, plus an internal pickup with jack mounted on the instrument's face. The neck is recent, 12 frets clear of the body, with rosewood fingerboard and ivoroid binding/dots. The neck is a vintage V shape with relatively square shoulders, 1 13/16" nut width, 2 5/16" string spacing at the saddle. Short 25" scale.
Thanks to the refurb, it's playing great with medium action comfortable for fingering or for slide. The truss rod and tuners are working perfectly. There are a few nicks in the paint on the body and a couple very shallow dings in the neck shaft. Almost no fret wear. Includes non-original hard case.
At 7lbs 6oz, one of the lighter steel guitars in the shop!
