(USED) Circa 1927 (serial # 86153) Gibson oval-hole A model.
The condition overall is good to very good, having recently had a small area of loose binding and a section of back separation repaired by our pal, mandolin builder Lou Stiver. It sounds quite good with the classic howl of a good oval and now has a clean bill of health and should be ready to go for another 90 years or so. Fret wear is minimal and it has light finish checking, appropriate for an instrument of this age. It has the original case in *very rough* condition, with broken handle and delaminated seams (you will want a new case.) There is a strap button installed in the heel - shown in the photos.
