1922 Gibson A Model, Oval Hole, Adirondack Spruce, Maple, OHSC Included - USED

ON CONSIGNMENT, NO TRADE OFFERS PLEASE!

(USED) Among the oldest and coolest instruments currently residing in our shop is this lovely Gibson A Model, dating back 102 years to 1922!  The condition is all original, with no cracks or repairs to speak of.  There is a tiny bit of buckle rash on the back and various dings and scratches on the top.

This oval hole mandolin has an Adirondack spruce top with a hand-rubbed sunburst and maple back and sides stained red.  This classic oval-hole mandolin has a pleasingly wide 1 7/32" nut, and an ebony fingerboard with large abalone dots on its sturdy vintage "V" neck profile.  "The Gibson” is inlaid on the peghead and engraved in the tail piece.  Some minor fret wear under the unwound strings, but has an excellent setup and is wanting for nothing!  Includes both modern formed case and the original (vintage/worn) hardshell case.
