Northfield NFMSP-A5WN, A5 Special, Italian Alpine Spruce, Figured Maple, Wide Nut - NEW

(NEW) We all know not to stare directly at the sun, but there's no harm in gazing into the shiny goodness on display with this Northfield A5 Special!  The Italian Alpine spruce on this mandolin has some of the tightest, most uniform grain we've seen in some time.  The figured maple really pops under the gloss amber finish, and the subtle burst effect on the neck almost looks like a speed neck (it's full gloss as well).  The bright white purfling lines around the tortoise binding show that Northfield has a serious eye for fine details, and the bound tortoise pick guard was a great visual choice here.  

Compound radius ebony fingerboard with dot inlays, ebony tuner buttons and wide 1 3/16" nut width complete the package.  This one will turn heads!  Go on, hit 'em with a little sunshine!
