Collings 620 SM LC, Fully Hollow Electric, NAMM 2026 - NEW

(NEW) Ladies and gentlemen, what we have here is a bonafide RIPPER of a guitar from our friends in Austin!  Collings has been expanding/revamping their electric lineup over the last few years, and the new 620 model replaces the Statesman, their Gretsch-y offering from a little while back.  The Statesman was fun, sure, but the 620 has made us more or less forget all about it.  This guitar has so much mojo, it's hard to know where to start!

The pickups: a staple single coil in the neck and a staple humbucker in the bridge... this is new and exciting!  These Righteous Sound Diadem pickups simply scream, and there's a lot of sonic ground covered here.  Adam runs through a few styles in the demo video, but it's only the tip of the iceberg of what this instrument is capable of.  

The construction is hollow and maple laminate is used for the top, back and sides.  This one was displayed at NAMM 2026 and has a high gloss olympic white finish.  It has tortoise body binding, a house-made pick guard and closed-gear tuners with ebony knobs.  The nut is 1 11/16" and this is Collings' original C shaped neck.  Full specs and neck diagram can be found here: https://collingsguitars.com/electrics/620-sm-lc/
