2023 ODE Magician 13" Open-Back Banjo, Maple - USED

(USED) Lucky Thirteen!  Steve’s favorite ODE. When the ultimate deep plunk is your goal, you can look toward the ODE Magician.  With its 13" pot, it has a lower resonant frequency than an 11" or 12" and the sound is sweet, the cluck is real. I can’t prove this, but I know it’s true. Just like 13-fret guitars can be the perfect compromise between 12 fret and 14 fret guitars, we find the 13” banjo to be delightfully focused sounding (compared to a 14” cello banjo) and sometimes besting our favorite 12” banjos. “Lucky 13” is no joke ;-) 

Laminated maple tone rim with walnut neck and flat ebony fingerboard.  25 5/8" scale length, 1 11/32" nut, 1 3/4" string spacing at the saddle.  The neck has a smooth oil finish, sleek profile and a boat heel.  The hardware is aged brass and the tuners have amber knobs.  Price includes gig bag.
