M.J. Franks Legacy 18 Dreadnought, Adirondack Spruce, Cuban Mahogany - NEW

(NEW) This M.J. Franks Legacy 18 dreadnought is everything a traditional mahogany dread should be... it's got a beefy low end, plenty of volume and warmth to spare.  The other thing that it has is one of the rarest (and one of our favorite) mahogany varieties for the back and sides, Cuban mahogany.  Simply put, Cuban mahogany edges out most other strains in terms of tonal complexity, and we can't think of a guitar that has come through the shop with this tone wood that hasn't been fantastic.

The proceedings here are highly traditional: Adirondack spruce top and braces, tortoise body binding, 3-ring rosette, tall cut-through saddle on an ebony bridge.  The fingerboard is ebony with dot inlays.  The guitar has long 25.4" scale, and the mahogany neck has a mod V profile, 1 3/4" nut and 2 3/16" string spacing at the saddle.  The tuners on this one are open-gear Gotohs.

In this price range, you'd be hard pressed to find a one-at-a-time, luthier-built instrument that satisfies on this level!  Includes hard case.
