(NEW) The Backstage Edition instruments from Furch are limited runs in some special tonewood combos, and here we have an Orchestra Model with a Sitka spruce top and Mexican Granadillo back/sides. To our ears, the Granadillo seems to split the difference between mahogany and Indian rosewood, tonally, but its lighter weight gives this more of the feel of a mahogany guitar. The appointments are just on the subtle side of fancy, with thin abalone rosette, herringbone top trim, gold open-gear Gotoh tuners, full body/neck/peghead binding and a smooth semi-gloss finish.
Long 25 5/8" scale length with 1 3/4" nut and 2 3/16" string spacing at the saddle. The neck is a modern low oval shape and measures .822" thick at the first fret, .935" at the ninth. The ebony fingerboard has custom diamond inlays, and the bridge and pins are both ebony as well. This guitar has no on-board electronics, and features Furch's innovative CNR-active neck, and the guitars action can be manipulated by adjusting the neck angle through the soundhole.
Includes molded TKL hard case.
