Collings OM2HT, Sitka Spruce, Indian Rosewood, Satin Finish - NEW

(NEW) The Traditional series was the first big departure from Collings' standard voice, and along with the bespoke cases that were originally wrapped around them, was the last major project before Bill Collings' untimely passing in 2017.  The specs that separate them from the original line are consistent and we'll just get them out of the way first: thinner finish, all nitro with no vinyl sealer coat... smaller maple bridge plate... rolled fingerboard edges... a slightly different set of cosmetic appointments that evokes pre-war guitars but stands on its own... an overall lighter-on-its-feet build and sound that served to warm up the original, modern voice of the standard lineup.

...but you knew all that!  Okay, how about we talk about THIS GUITAR HERE!!!  OM2H Traditional with some mighty fine looking Sitka spruce on the top, Indian rosewood back and sides and Honduran mahogany for the neck.  Other than asking for a satin finish, we didn't get overly creative on this one, it's usually best to just let Collings do their thing.

1 3/4" nut, 2 5/16" string spacing at the saddle, long 25 1/2" scale.  This particular guitar measures .821" at the first fret and .981" at the ninth, and the neck shape is a modified V.  The guitar weighs in at 4 lbs.

We're finding that the Traditional voice splits the difference (and price point) very nicely between the original line and the Hill Country series.  Almost goes without saying, one of the best guitars money can buy.
