Collings OM1A Hill Country, Adirondack Spruce, Mahogany, Satin Finish - NEW

(NEW) If ever there was a Collings OM that reminded us of our favorite vintage guitars, it would be this OM1A HC.  This thing is light as a feather (3lbs 10oz) and has a gorgeous Adirondack spruce top.  The mahogany back and sides aren't stained as dark as many of the guitars we're seeing in this series, so there's also a visual lightness to this instrument that we find very pleasing.  The matching pick guard, rosette detail and heel cap are also on the pale side, almost a Bakelite appearance, and lemme tell ya it is WORKING!  Just one of those builds where everything came together perfectly.  

Long 25 1/2" scale with 1 3/4" nut and 2 5/16" string spacing at the saddle.  The neck is a girthy vintage mod V style, this one measures .935" at the first fret and 1.095" at the ninth.  Appointments include embossed logo on the back of the peghead, dot inlays on the ebony fingerboard, ebony pins and cross-cut ivoroid purfling.  Smooth satin finish.  Includes original hard case.

Clearly one of the best mahogany guitars in the store right now!!!
