Collings D1, Baked Sitka Spruce, Mahogany, Shade Top, NAMM 2026 - NEW

(NEW) If you need a dreadnought that cuts through the mix and records with an uncanny level of detail, this D1 from the 2026 NAMM show is the one for you!  It has a baked (torrefied) Sitka spruce top, which adds a certain dryness to the tone and quickens the response (it also looks GREAT under Collings' subtle Shade Burst!)  The back and sides are tried and true Honduran mahogany, and for a little more visual flare they put a nice band of rope purfling around the top.  Dig!

This one has Collings' original mod V neck profile with 1 3/4" nut, 2 3/16" string spacing at the saddle and long 25 1/2" scale.  Compound radius ebony fingerboard with dot inlays, ebony bridge and pins, Waverly tuners.  

This guitar is a not-so-subtle reminder of the way that Collings modernized the dreadnought.  Includes hard case.
