(NEW) Our friends at Cirrus currently have the market cornered on American-made, all-solid guitars with premium tonewoods at eye-popping prices! The inspiration for this CD18 should be abundantly clear, and Mike Franks and his team are honoring the most popular shape of all time with this new interpretation.
Adirondack spruce top and braces, mahogany back, sides and neck. 1 3/4" nut, 2 3/16" string spacing at the saddle, traditional Martin long scale length. The neck shape is described as "vintage style" but doesn't really have the girth that that phrase evokes. We would describe it as a full C and it measures .844" at the first fret and .927" at the ninth. The appointments are generally very traditional: tortoise body binding, b/w/b top purfling, 3-ring rosette, dot inlays. The tuners are Gotoh open-back in nickel.
Very fine sound with nice, throaty bass notes. Includes hard case.
