Chad Gillander 12-Fret Concert Model, Engelmann Spruce, Wenge - NEW

(NEW) From the talented hands of Chad Gillander, this Concert Model is approximately 0 body size (13 1/4" lower bout) and is full of luxurious details, both in its construction and in its ornamentation.

It starts with a responsive Engelmann spruce top, with solid Wenge back and laminated Wenge sides with a maple core.  Laminated sides are finding a lot of popularity with small shop builders who want to create a very rigid side structure to encourage maximum top vibration, and we're here to tell you that it's working wonders on this little beauty!  This guitar has Art Deco-inspired cosmetics, including fan-shaped inlays on the back and at the end wedge, and the combination of thin abalone purfling and the Wenge rosette details makes this a real looker.  Ebony body binding and blind-bound ebony fingerboard.

The scale length is short 25" with 1 3/4" nut and 2 5/16" string spacing at the saddle.  The neck has a modern low oval profile, measuring .815" at the first fret and .884" at the ninth.  The neck has a flat oil finish while the peghead overlay, back strap and guitar body are all expertly finished in high gloss.  Nickel Waverly tuners with ebony buttons.  Includes hard case.

An extremely impressive build from one of today's up and comers!!
