Atkin The Forty Three, J-43, Adirondack Spruce, Mahogany - NEW

(NEW) The Gibson-style jumbo is one of those designs that has been interpreted countless times, to varying levels of success.  The originators can't seem to make a great one every time, but lucky for us that companies like Atkin have found the key to a responsive, compelling jumbo, and yes, every time.  As we've said, Atkin doesn't seem to be building on the razor's edge of lightness, their guitars feel very roadworthy and solid to us.  This jumbo will serve you well on the stage, in the studio, or wherever your tunes are taking you.

Adirondack spruce top, traditional tobacco sunburst with Atkin's thoughtfully aged lacquer treatment... a little extra distressing on this one.  Mahogany back, sides, neck.  The neck profile feels like a modern low oval, with 1 3/4" nut, 2 1/4" string spacing at the saddle, and short 25" scale length.  The fingerboard and bridge are rosewood, the bridge has a tall bone saddle and bone pins.  The tuners are Kluson 3-on-a-plate with white plastic knobs.  The guitar will find its way to you, comfortably, in a hard case w/ Atkin logo.
