2014 Collings SJ, Sitka Spruce, Mahogany, Fully-Bound - USED

(USED) Lovely guitar, this!  Just back on consignment, the SJ or "Small Jumbo" is the Swiss Army knife of the Collings lineup.  It's big lower bout and deeper body give it volume, bass and plenty of presence, while the tight waist helps to retain an OM-like balance and even tonal response all over the fingerboard.  This guitar does it all.

This instrument is full 25.5" scale, with a 1 3/4" nut and 2 3/16" string spacing at the saddle.  The neck is Collings' "C" profile, and this one measures .875" at the first fret, .958" at the ninth.  The top is finest Sitka spruce, the back and sides Honduran mahogany.  We've dressed this one up just a bit, with tortoise binding on the the body, neck and peghead.  Waverly open back tuners.  Includes original TKL hardshell case. 

Condition is great with a few shallow dings on the top and a small bit of finish marring on the treble side waist (see picture).  Minimal fret wear under the B string.  Subtle discoloration in the top only appears at certain angles.  Structurally perfect.
