2011 Collings OM1A Varnish, Adirondack Spruce, Mahogany - USED

(USED) Here's a top tier Orchestra Model from Collings, an OM1A with the labor-intensive varnish finish.  Tonally wide open, this is a total prize!  All of Collings' coveted projection and articulation but without a hint of stiffness, fans of mahogany OMs, this might be the one you've been waiting for!

Adirondack spruce top, mahogany back, sides and neck.  This one is full, long 25 1/2" scale with 1 3/4" nut and 2 3/16" string spacing at the saddle.  The neck is Collings' standard mod V, this one measures .856" at the first and .949" at the ninth.  

Standard style 1 appointments include tortoise body binding, b/w/b top purfling, dot inlays on the ebony fingerboard.  The varnish finish, of course, is a traditional material that goes on super-thin and allows the instrument to vibrate like crazy!  Condition here is excellent, some pick swipes on the guard but that's about it!  Includes original hard case.
