Beard Legacy Sidecar, Bearclaw Sitka Spruce, Mahogany - NEW

(NEW) We've been fortunate to receive and sell many Beard Legacy instruments over the past year.  The Legacy series are artfully designed and meticulously constructed instruments that use the best materials available.  They also tend to make a strong visual statement, showcasing the endless creativity of Paul Beard and his crew.  This new Legacy Sidecar is one of the very first of its kind!

The Sidecar, in flattop form, started life as part of the short-lived Deco Phonic series (RIP!) and was championed by Larkin Poe, Tony Polecastro and many others.  Where those instruments had laminate birch back and sides with Engelmann top, this new Legacy model has all-solid wood construction and features bearclaw Sitka spruce for the top and mahogany for the back, sides and neck.  It has elegant visuals with a simple abalone rosette, maple body and fingerboard binding and some lovely pearl inlays on a figured ebony fingerboard.

The size of the Sidecar hovers somewhere between an L-00 and OM, it's a comfortable size and the build is super-solid and road worthy.  The nut is 1 3/4", string spacing at the saddle is 2 1/8" and the scale length is 25".  The neck profile is a comfortable mod V.  Tuners are Gotoh SX510 open back w/ ebony knobs.  Includes hard case.
