2021 Kevin Kopp AJ, Jumbo, Torrefied Adirondack Spruce, Madagascar Rosewood - USED

(USED) Call it what you will... "Bone Crusher" or "Banjo Killer" or just "That Loud Guitar!" but the AJ has earned its place as a revered flat top that can compete with anything out there.  Far from the more supple, polite tones conjured by short scale slope Ds, the AJ has gas in the tank and horsepower to spare.  The sound has a body and clarity unique to the model, and who better to conjure those tones than our man Kevin Kopp?!

This particular AJ features a torrefied Adirondack spruce top and braces, plus very fine Madagascar rosewood back and sides and the "secret sauce" that is Kevin's Closet Relic finish.  This process doesn't add artificial wear or scarring to the guitar, but it does introduce finish checking which breaks the surface tension of the top and allows it to vibrate freely.  The finish is applied substantially thinner than one that would be buffed up to gloss.  When you hear it, you'll know!

1 3/4" nut, 2 1/4" string spacing at the saddle.  Long 25 1/2" scale length.  Madrose fingerboard and bridge.  Relic'd Waverly tuners.  Condition on this one is near-new, with no structural issues or fret wear, full saddle height.  We spec'd it at our shop originally and our happy to have it back.  Includes hard case.

If you like that old rosewood Gibby tone and aren't impressed with this guitar... well... what are we gonna do with you??!  :)
