Northfield NFMSP-A5, Special A Model, Premium Italian Spruce, Figured Maple, Icelandic Brown - NEW

(NEW) Another bolt of inspiration from our friends at Northfield!  This A Model uses their best available tonewoods, with a premium Italian spruce top and figured (highly flamed) maple back/sides and neck.  It is stained in distinctive and brooding Icelandic Brown finish, and has everything that you could want in a high end mandolin.  It is fully bound in ivoroid, including the fingerboard, peghead and wooden pick guard.  It has the standard 1 1/8" nut width.

The tuners are Gotoh with ebony buttons, and this features the oh-so-easy Nugget tailpiece for quick string changing.  The spirit varnish finish insures quick response and a high dynamic range.  The case is the lightweight Airloom "Recurve" which offers an excellent balance of protection and practicality.
