(NEW)We have become known for our love of sinker redwood/mahogany guitars, and fortunate for us, our great friends at Huss & Dalton have managed to indulge us once again with this wonderful OM! You probably don't have anything quite like this in your collection.
A superb fingerstyle instrument (but with a compelling strummed voice, as well) this Orchestra Model has a sinker redwood top, boldly streaked from the time that the raw wood spent submerged underwater, absorbing minerals. Redwood has a similar tonal signature to cedar, but is generally stiffer, with more headroom. The sinker mahogany back and sides on this guitar have a subtle figuring, and paired with the koa binding and abalone rosette, the whole thing just looks excellent!
Specs include 1 3/4" nut with 2 5/16" string spacing at the saddle. This is a long scale instrument, 25.4" to be exact, and the neck is H&D's subtle modified V. The parts are ebony, including a figured ebony peghead veneer. The tuners are our favorite super-smooth Gotoh 510s. This instrument includes a tweed Huss & Dalton-branded TKL hard case.
