(NEW) It's time, once again, for one of our super-cool custom dreadnoughts that we dreamed up with our friends at Huss & Dalton! These folks always put aside some real good wood for us, and make our acoustic guitar dreams a reality. The Pilgrim, as you probably know, is a large soundhole dread inspired by the legendary dreadnought picked on by Clarence White and Tony Rice. While the H&D version honors the visual character of the original, this guitar has all of the power and clarity to compete with any of today's best dreads.
This one has a thermo-cured (torrefied) Sitka spruce top and exotic Indian rosewood back/sides. While the exotic EIR doesn't have a particular tonal superpower, it looks awesome and pairs very well with thermo-cured Sitka, creating a focused tonal palette with a full sound and quick response.
For specs, we have a 1 23/32" nut width, 2 1/4" string spacing at the saddle and normal long scale length. Bound fingerboard with no inlay on the fretboard face, cut-through saddle, no logo on the peghead face, large spotted pick guard. The neck is mahogany with a satin finish, in H&D's usual modified V shape. Tuners are Gotoah open-back 510s. Includes tweed-style TKL hard case.
Serial #6101
