Huss & Dalton 25th Anniversary TOM-R, Thermo-Cured Adirondack Spruce, Old Growth Brazilian - NEW - SOLD

SOLD

(NEW) From the great Huss & Dalton in Staunton, VA, some of the best builders to ever do it, and definitely some of our absolute favorite friends in the music industry... we are THRILLED to present this 25th Anniversary commemorative Orchestra Model, replete with 45-style Paua pearl trim, thermally cured Adirondack spruce and old growth Brazilian rosewood from the collection of Walter Lipton.  This guitar, as far as we are concerned, is the top of the mountain.

This absolutely gorgeous sounding OM might be the best to ever come through our doors.  The voice is rich and complex, with uncanny clarity and sustain to die for.  We can't imagine it sounding better, and there is no exaggeration in that statement.  It strums, it picks, it fingerpicks... it is the total package.  It is a prize.

As can be seen in the pictures, the aesthetics are as fancy as they come.  45-style means that shell adorns every edge of this instrument, from the rosette to the top border to the back border to the sides, and even around the heel.  Is it a lot?  Of course it is!  But the visual statement cannot be denied.  45-style instruments are the rarest of the rare, and there is a dramatic amount of handwork to bring these into the world.  This guitar is fully bound in flamed koa, and features a Floral Grace Vine fingerboard inlay by Jodie Davis.  There are flourishes on the peghead overlay and on the wings of the bridge, and the tuners are engraved gold Waverly's.  The fretwire is Jescar gold.  Un-dyed bone nut, saddle and end pin, bone bridge pins with dot inlay.

Traditional OM specs include long scale length with 1 3/4" nut and 2 1/4" string spacing at the saddle.  The fingerboard and bridge are ebony.

Our 25th Anniversary Huss & Dalton instruments (we were lucky enough to get 2 of the 8!) include a complimentary Calton fiberglass flight case from our inventory.  Only the very best protection for these heirloom instruments!  Calton cases can be found here: https://acousticmusicworks.com/collections/calton-cases.  If you don't see a color combo that strikes your fancy, call us to discuss delaying delivery while we get one on order for you.  Price will also include free expedited shipping.

A lifetime instrument if there ever was one, we are honored to present this superb TOM-R to you.  For those asking to be called when something special arrives: consider yourselves called!
