(NEW) Ah, maple... that most beautiful of domestic hardwoods, it looks great under every color of stain, or completely natural the way it is presented on this handsome OM1E from Collings.  This highly customized instrument is pretty distinctive (few if any of this spec combo floating around out there) but also checks plenty of boxes and is easy on the eyes!

The Engelmann spruce top is a great pairing with maple, since the softness and warmth of the Engelmann tempers the liveliness of the maple.  You won't hear us complaining about maple being "bright" around here, we love its highly articulate nature and find it to have a healthy compliment of overtones, paired with great projection.  The deep body option means that this box vibrates at a lower resonant frequency, adding to the bass response and the overall volume.  It is very, very fine!

1 3/4" nut with 2 3/16" string spacing at the saddle.  Long scale with standard modified "V" neck profile.  Fully bound body, fingerboard and peghead.  Ebony fingerboard with dot inlays.  Ebony belly bridge with ebony pins.  Waverly tuners.  Includes original hard case. 

An OM that goes where few others go!  Never count out maple, folks!
