Collings D1AT, Traditional Model, Adirondack Spruce, Mahogany, Satin Finish - SOLD

(SOLD)

(NEW) The company that never compromises, but regularly surprises!  Collings has struck a nerve with the thin, soft, supple satin finish that is now available on their Traditional models.  The sheen says "vintage" and the feel says "comfort" and we're here to tell you, it's working and it's NICE.  There's something about being able to see right through the finish, straight to the beautiful materials.

In this case, it means that you'll see every detail in the bearclaw Adirondack top, and the dependably tight and even-grained Honduran mahogany.  Whereas beauty can sometimes be only skin-deep, this guitar delivers with its powerful sound.  The mahogany dreadnought has never sounded so clear, so strong, so HI-FI.  The Traditional build style, with its thin finish, animal protein-glue construction, small bridge plate and no tongue brace = a warmer, smoother Collings experience, but with no loss of articulation.  It's exactly what we've been waiting for.

The rest of the specs: 1 3/4" nut width, 2 5/16" saddle spacing, long 25.5" scale.  Traditional neck carve is a full-ish modified V.  Ebony fingerboard with rolled edges for comfort, dot inlays.  Ebony bridge with Stew Mac faux-tortoise pins.  Satin finish, so smooth.  Relic'd Waverly tuners.  Includes TKL hard case.

So fine!
