2017 Lay's L-00, Nick Lucas Style, Torrefied Adirondack Spruce, Indian Rosewood - USED

(USED) From the custom workshop at Lay's Guitar Shop in Akron, OH comes this handmade L-00 style.  As our first encounter with their work, we can say that builders at Lay's really know what they're doing, it's a very well made instrument with some lovely features.  For a rosewood guitar, it still retains a bluesy and articulate voice.  The body is deeper than a standard L-00 but not quite to the depth of a true Nick Lucas.  

This guitar has a torrefied Adirondack spruce top and braces, Indian rosewood back and sides, ebony fingerboard and bridge.  The mahogany neck has a full C shape, 1 3/4" nut width, 2 1/8" string spacing at the saddle and a 25 1/8" scale length.  The top has a nice shade burst, with tortoise pick guard, tortoise rosette, tortoise binding top and back and tortoise tuner buttons on nickel Waverly machines.  

Condition is very good with some pick swirls on the guard, some faint long lacquer checks on the lower bout and negligible fret wear.  Includes TKL hard case.
