(USED) Here is a fascinating tenor ukulele built by Crist Pung of Hawaii. Mr. Pung went all-out on this one, using tight-grained Carpathian spruce for the top and figured Cocobolo (including sapwood) on the back. It is a 17 1/8" tenor scale instrument, with a lilting, beautiful tone.
The inlay theme is "Hawaiian Warrior" with the warrior himself on the headstock, floral spear inlay on the fingerboard and paddle at the end graft. These inlays are composed from koa, reconstructed stone, pearl and rosewood. The whole instrument is surrounded by flamed koa, including the binging, sound port, heel cap and segmented rosette. The neck is mahogany book-matched with a center laminate of Purpleheart wood. There is additional purfling work on the back plate of the headstock, and a gorgeous diamond volute. Schertler tuners.
An absolute 1-of-a-kind, masterfully rendered and so much fun!! Includes hard case.
