(USED) If pearl rocks your world, we've got a Martin that you need to see! This 12-fret Custom Shop 00-42 just came to us on consignment, and not only is it gorgeous to look at, it also has a warm, deep sound that is very satisfying for such a small guitar.
Built in 2013, originally for LA Guitar Sales (yes, we have the full spec printout) this guitar has an Adirondack spruce top with some fine silking and a few subtle instances of bear claw. It has hand-selected Madagascar rosewood, relatively light in figuring and very even in color. The braces are 1/4" scalloped Adirondack, and the guitar has a 42-style abalone rosette and top border with flamed koa binding. Hide glue construction throughout.
The neck is mahogany with the "Modified Low Oval" shape indicated. This guitar is short scale with a 1 3/4" nut and 2 1/4" string spacing at the saddle. Ebony fingerboard with 45-style inlays. Inlaid belly bridge, white pins with Paua pearl dots. The back of the peghead has a traditional diamond volute, and the tuners are gold Waverly.
The condition is excellent, with only the faintest bit of lacquer chipping on the edge of the head slots. Includes original hard case.
This guitar has a current replacement value of $13K and availability of premium Madrose is ever-dwindling. Here's your chance to own this little prize of a guitar for a lot less!
