2012 M.J. Franks Legacy Dreadnought, Adirondack Spruce, Brazilian Rosewood - USED

(USED) Increasingly sought out for his ukuleles and resonators, Michigan luthier Mike Franks also builds a FINE traditional guitar!  We're very pleased to present this Legacy dreadnought, featuring an Adirondack spruce top and figured Brazilian rosewood back and sides.  This instrument has all the guts and volume of a classic vintage Herringbone, with a nice booming bass but a midrange that is more "sparkle" than "scooped".  The lines are clean, the craftsmanship top-notch, with fit and finish to rival the best flat tops on the market, and you know who we mean!  :-)

Spec-wise, this guitar has a 1 23/32" nut and 2 3/16" string spacing at the saddle.  One-piece mahogany neck with traditional volute and Waverly open-back tuners.  Ebony fingerboard with diamond and square inlays, bone bridge pins, abalone rosette and herringbone top purfling. It is a prize.

This instrument has a professionally repaired very thin back crack that was difficult to detect and even more difficult to photograph, and is now now totally stable.  Other than a couple finish chips on the back edge of the peghead, this guitar is in excellent overall condition with no appreciable fret wear.  Comes with original hardshell case.
