(NEW) We have been rowdy friends and admirers of Bill and Ellie Warmoth for many years now.  If you know Bill, you know that he has the absolute highest standards in custom guitars, and he made it his mission to hand-pick the best materials from his manufacturers.  In addition, Bill made sure to spec his guitars to stand out from the crowd, with attention to the finest details.  

When we took over Artisan Guitars' interest in the Huss & Dalton brand late last year (Bill and Ellie have now scaled back to focus exclusively on the Maton brand) we also inherited many of his builds-in-progress, including this fantastic "Bill Warmoth Vintage" DS, just arrived.  From across the room, this guitar has a classic Gibby vibe to it... but up close, the list of particular appointments is long (and exciting!)

Thermo-cured (torrefied) Sitka spruce top with dark sunburst, figured sinker mahogany back and sides, custom dark walnut stain on the back/sides.  Rare Brazilian rosewood fingerboard and bridge.  Ivoroid body and fingerboard binding.  Short 24 3/4" scale with 1 3/4" nut and 2 7/32" string spacing at the saddle.  Mother of pearl dot fingerboard inlays, gold mother of pearl peghead logo.  Crossroads-style peghead with Gotoh TK-0700 3-on-a-plate tuners, cream buttons.  

Excellent rumble and punch, a next-level slope D!  From the mind of Bill Warmoth, we would expect nothing less.  Includes tweed style TKL hard case.
