Collings OM2 Cutaway, Sitka Spruce, Cocobolo, Short Scale, Black Top - NEW

(NEW) Like the rest of the world, we simply love a Collings OM.  A great thing has been happening in recent years: straight from the factory, Collings main line of guitars are appreciably warmer and more welcoming than they were in the past.  Don't get us wrong, their famous clarity and note separation are still there, but particularly in the mids and bass, they are more satisfying than ever, and they only get better with time!

This highly customized OM2 shows off much of what we love about Collings, and why they're at the top of their game.  The Sitka spruce top combined with the Cocobolo back and sides produces a tone that is subtle and complex, but also is comfortable picking or strumming.  Short scale adds a bit of warmth and a bit of flex in the strings, and the cutaway adds a bit of... well, notes!  

This one has a 1 3/4" nut with 2 3/16" string spacing at the saddle, standard Collings mod V neck profile.  Cosmetics include black top with b/w/b trim (no herringbone this time) 3-ring rosette, tortoise pick guard and zipper back strip.  Tuners are nickel Waverly.  Includes original hard case.
