Circa 1932 Oscar Schmidt "Hawaiian" Parlor Guitar, Birch, Poplar Neck - USED

ON CONSIGNMENT, NO TRADE OFFERS, PLEASE!

(USED) For the blues guitar fan looking for authentic sound and feel... this little Oscar Schmidt is a ladder-braced guitar, well on its way to its hundredth birthday and in need of nothing!  Thanks to the fine folks at the Vintage Blues Guitar shop, who did a neck set and a few other small things to this seemingly all-original instrument, it plays like butter and has a great snap to the sound.  Funky, dry, ladder tone and easy to play?  Yes please!

Short scale (just under 25") with a 1 13/16" nut, 2 1/8" string spacing at the  saddle, and easy 5/64" action.  Good intonation for having no saddle compensation.  Assorted bumps and bruises commensurate with age, mostly scratches, dings and chipped paint.  The pick guard is just a tad wavy, but holds well enough to the guitar.  Neck shape is a full but not overly thick modified V shape.  Includes chip board case.

AMW Price: $1,200 (ON CONSIGNMENT!)
