(NEW) You've heard us say it before, the best sounding parlor guitars being made today are made right here in Pittsburgh PA, by our good friend and luthiery hero Chuck Baleno. Chuck uses highly scientific voicing techniques to get more juice out of a tiny guitar than should be possible, and his Size 2 has been a bestseller here for years.
Today we offer his newest creation, a Size 2 with torrefied Adirondack spruce top and mahogany back/sides/neck. The torrefied wood gives it a dry, vintage-inspired tone, albeit one with a lot more thickness than you would expect and none of the boxiness that usually comes with really small guitars. The scale length is 24 1/2", and it has a 1 3/4" compensated bone nut and 2 1/4" string spacing at the bridge. Ebony fretboard with compound radius and stainless steel frets, ebony pyramid bridge and bridge pins. Rosewood body bindings. The tuners are Golden Age with ivoroid buttons.
A better parlor would be hard to find at any price! Includes hard case.
